Home For Good Project volunteers

With the national housing crisis reaching historic heights, many families are left without safe and affordable homes to call their own – something everyone deserves. Through our Home for Good project, Cornerstone Building Brands partners with Habitat for Humanity and the Country Music industry to help build affordable housing for families in need. Whether we’re donating products, facilitating house builds or using music to strengthen and inspire our communities, everything we do is changing lives – for good.

MUSIC IS THE CONNECTOR

Music is powerful – the heartbeat of our nation, the universal language that has the power to connect us, inspire us and bring us together to achieve incredible things.

Since its inception, the Home for Good project has worked hand-in-hand with partners from the Country Music industry and Universal Music Group Nashville who have been instrumental in generating awareness for our cause – and have been an active part of the solution.

This year, we’re thankful to have Multi-Platinum award winning artist Tyler Hubbard as our Home for Good project Ambassador.

I’m grateful to be part of Cornerstone Building Brands’ Home for Good project and the opportunity to help bring awareness to the shortage of affordable housing in our communities. Being a homeowner improves quality of life for so many families and children, so I’m happy to help in any way to ensure more families have a place to call home.

HOMEOWNER STORY

A PLACE TO COME HOME TO

De’Sheria works for a nonprofit in south central Tennessee, where she connects clients with the resources and community support they need to succeed. Her favorite part of the job is seeing someone achieve a goal or get the help they need. After renting apartments for the past eight years, De’Sheria got to experience that happiness firsthand.

With support from Habitat for Humanity and donations from sponsors like Cornerstone Building Brands, De’Sheria and her family now have a forever place they can always come back to. De’Sheria is excited about this new start and what it means for her family – hosting holidays, having more space for their pets, and spending quality time together playing games and doing karaoke.

HOMEOWNER STORY

Out of a tornado came a forever home

Sallie and her son, Casey, are two brave and determined individuals who have faced incredible adversity in the wake of the devastating December 2021 tornado that destroyed their apartment in Kentucky. In the aftermath of the disaster, Sallie and her son were left with no home and a determination and fortitude to rebuild their lives. Despite the overwhelming loss and heartache, they refused to give up hope and remained determined to create a better future for themselves.

With the support of their community, partnership with Habitat for Humanity and donations from sponsors like Cornerstone Building Brands, Sallie and her son began the process of securing their forever home.
